Philippa Williams at Broadoak

Philippa Williams  is one of the most successful Gundog Trainers in the UK, and has tutored clients to her very high standards for many years and is the mentor of our own wonderful young trainer Claudia Atkinson.  Her teaching is well structured, progressive, informative and fun.   

Philippa's knowledgeable guidance and advice will be invaluable to your future progress whether you are aiming for Working Tests, Field Trials  or Working and Picking Up in the Shooting FIeld.

Using her unique methods and fantastic communication skills Philippa will help you understand the stages that dogs go through when learning  something new and the levels you need to teach at each stage to secure their learning.  She will show you how to understand your dog and recognise  the signs they give us in response to our teaching. By appreciating this process, you will learn how to assess your dog’s learning as you teach and proof your dog’s understanding.  

Handler places are limited to 8 handlers/dog per day.  We will try to ensure that people at the same level will be grouped together so would like you to register interest by clicking on the RSVP button before we confirm your place.  Priority will be given to members of Broadoak Gundog Training.  

The daily sessions will include five hours of teaching and will be £80.00 per handler payable in advance.  We expect to have a waiting list.
