The highly skilled trainers who use our grounds are Cumbria based and have vast experience, regularly working on large shoots and preparing their own homebred dogs for competition at top levels.

Sandra is a very popular figure in gundog circles with a calm approach and good sense of humour. Sandra has extensive experience in Retriever competitions being a judge at open level working tests up to all age field trials. Sandra has trained with the top names in the sport. Not only do Sandra's dogs compete they are used during the shooting season for picking up on various terrains in several counties. Running workshops for all variety of Retrievers from Broadoak, and other grounds in the South Lakes and North Yorkshire, Sandra will soon have her clients on the road to success.
We will be holding spaniel training on the first sunday of each month (May is the 12th) .
The training is specifically for people who aim to compete in tests and trials or work regularly in the field. Along with sessions for the experienced handlers run by competition trainers there will be a regular trainer for novice handlers.
Emma has used the grounds at Broadoak since April 2022 as her initial base in Cumbria, running very successful specialist workshops and gundog holidays along with 121's and group classes. Emma also has experience with behavioural work.
Emma's main training ground in Cumbria is now at Brough nearer her home, but she will continue to run some workshops, 121's and group classes from Broadoak.
